The Wayfarer's Inn

"Well, that is certainly a gamble.", Ahi says. "Shall we risk a possible portal that would take us to an unknown place and possibly add some necromantic effect on us? Or shall we try a room full of statues that may well turn out to be alive?"

Gaderon says "I think I would rather try the statues then take on the unknown." Ail, it seems to just be the two of us at this point, what would you like to do?

Kherim nods, a little reluctantly. Ahi encourages him forward, and comments
"There's no guarantees with that arch, and I feel we are nearing the end of our quest. Harden your heart, and come along."

Sol will join Kherim moving into the next area. Gaderon will continue to float over the party using his boots of levitation as we move into the next chamber.

Just a reminder... do we still have Heroes' Feast on? It lasts 12 hours, so I suppose it's still working, right?

It is still working, yes. I'd like to know a bit more precisely where you enter the next part of the hall. Do you want to approach the huge statue in the middle or would you rather stick close to the walls and pass the smaller statues there? Any other precautions?

If we are all ready, we will go to the left side. Gaderon will use his wand to look for any surprises ahead of us and then Eilkhan will go forward, followed by Kherim, Sol and Ahi, with Gaderon floating over Ahi.

Gaderon's wand indicates no traps on the statues of the undead in the left aisle, as you carefully approach them, but Kherim immediately notices a strong evil radiating from them. Will the paladin react to this somehow? Or do you proceed and enter the checkered flooring of that aisle?

"There's evil coming from these statues. They may not be traps, but they're not harmless either."

He prepares for battle, and cautions them to approach one statue at a time, and see what happens.

"Let's just try not to get flanked."

Gaderon's wand shows no traps within a radius of 30 feet, so you all slowly, one by one, enter the side aisle and move past the statues of the undead, thereby avoiding the sickly glowing bubbles of light that are spread out all over the place, but ready to spring into action should one of the statues start to move. Nothing happens though.

Reaching the end of the checkered side aisle, you're able to see empty triangular alcoves at the end of the hall. Being closer to the towering statue of Rahotep now, you notice that it has red crystals embedded for eyes. You also note that its strange vulture-like headdress reminds you of the evil Khu that was set free by you inside the Foyer of the Dark Duat near the entrance of the tomb and that you met one more near the central pit after defeating the demon Aldinach.

OOC: I've added an assumed position of each character to the map. If you disagree with my quickly-made choice, this can of course be altered.
