OOC: I hope you all had a nice christmas. Me, I'm lying low with a nasty cold since tuesday, with fever and everything. I feel slightly better today, but christmas virtually didn't take place for me this year.

This is a quick and uneven battle. The scorpions swarm around you, trying to hit you with their poisonous stingers, but they are chanceless against your fighting skills, even under such cramped circumstances. You hack them all down with a single blow being enough for each of the small horrors. As they are destroyed and dissolve into small clouds of stinking black smoke, each one hisses forth a word with its dying breath:

"Now...!

"you..."

"have..."

"brought..."

"down..."

"the..."

"Fifth..."

"Curse..."

"of..."

"Rahotep!"

As the last word is spoken, you all experience the same dreadful feeling again that came over you several times before in this evil place when you had activated one of Rahotep's curses. And again, only one of you seems to be the chosen recipient. "Cursed! I'm cursed!", Elmo moans. His eyes wide with fear, the warrior looks around into concerned faces. "What will happen to me now....?"

"We may all be cursed to our deaths in this pit, yet it our duty to persevere and take that demon pharaoh down with us." Kherim says harshy and rather sternly.

Ahi shrugs, looking at him, with some doubt in his eyes.

"I'd rather live, if possible" he mumbles to himself, but aloud he says "I will not shirk our duty".

Sol nods in agreement with Kherim and then resumes crawling in the passage.

Gaderon follows Sol while trying to drop further back in the group...

Eilkhan agrees and follows as well.

Around the corner, the dusty crawlway leads 60 feet straight ahead until it comes to an end. It accesses a 10-foot-square chamber. You peer into the room and see a flight of steps that descend into darkness.
