The Wayfarer's Inn

Eilkhan realizes that she stepped through another teleportal the moment that she crosses the threshold and instantly finds herself in some cramped and lightless place. A bestial stench assaults her nose as she tries not to slip on a floor that is wet from filth and feces and strewn with bones and other litter. Large and hairy creatures seem to be all over the place, turning towards her with gleaming and feral eyes - Gholles!

Then, a wink of an eye later, Sol, Ivid, and Elmo materialize in the room.

OOC: I've numbered those dudes for easier reference. Please state your actions for the first round of combat. Ahi, Gaderon, and Kherim will join the fray one round later.

OOC: Eilkhan will activate her ring of invisibility and dive to the wall behind 1 and 2 to face them from behind. Then she will attack the next round. I hope her ring really works vs undead things LOL!

Sol will attack #6 three times with his sword, Tizona (+4 vs undead): 8/12, 14/10, 11/10 [miserable results...]

Well, just to get this going, when Ahi and Kherim join the group, Ahi will cast Turn Undead. Kherim's action depend on where he lands, but he'll probably attack someone... or some ex-one.

Ivid will curse, draw an arrow, and... Dodge.

Conscious that he cannot stand against the creatures in melee combat,
the ranger will try to reach the nearby corridor entrance (behind 6), to get some distance between himself and the creatures...

And then start to shoot.



As to Elmo, since there seems little he can do right now, back to the wall, and total defense.

Round 1: The party wins initiative.

The gholle are obviously completely surprised by your sudden appearance, giving Ivid the chance to successfully run past them and into the adjacent corridor. Elmo and Eilkhan retreat towards the walls, the thief noticing that her magical ring does his job because the two gholle nearby turn to Elmo and Sol instead, obviously ignoring her.

Drawing Tizona, whose flames flicker brightly along its blade, Sol moves forward to attack the nearest gholle. The power of his sword cuts easily through the defenses of the undead creature, badly wounding it (33 hps).

Finally, the gholle awake from their state of surprise and attack themselves. Howling with hunger and fury, three of them (#1,5, and 6) attack Sol, while two (#2 and 3) close in on Elmo. The sixth (#4) gholle starts following Ivid.

Sol, being shieldless and with way less protection than he needs in this dangerous situation, has no chance of holding his position. All three gholle are successful with their attacks, tearing, rending and biting at the brave warrior for a total of 78 points of damage, nearly tearing him to pieces. OOC: Since Sol only had 70 hps left from the last battle, this means that he's down to -8 and only 2 hps away from death. Please see the posting that I've added to the house rules thread.

Although he's still lightly dressed, his shield and armor protect him from the attacks of the two gholle, and Elmo is only hit twice by claw and fang for a total of 11 points of damage.

Then Gaderon, Ahi, and Kherim appear in the room.

OOC: The stench of the gholle now makes a ST vs poison necessary from everyone. Please include one in your die rolls.

Well, that is just great now. So, Ahi would like to do a Turn Undead to send the Gholles away from Sol and the rest, but the only way they could run too is where Ivid is.

So, I'm in a dilemma now. big one.
