The Wayfarer's Inn

It takes nearly an hour for Eilkhan to pry out all the hardened bitumen from the door seams. Since she hadn't detected anything suspicious, she tries opening the portal but quickly realizes that it doesn't work. The doors are extremely hard to move, and it takes great effort from several of your group to finally open one of them at least so much as to make it possible for you to pass through.

Ahead lies a large chamber, 30 feet wide and 50 feet long. The ceiling is 30 feet above. The room is plastered white and painted with scenes of Rahotep counting his wealth, inspecting magical things, wearing jewels, and doing all manner of things for the purpose of storing for future use such treasures as a priest-mage and soldier might have accumulated during a lifetime of success in the wealthy days of ancient Khemit under the guise of a generous Pharaoh (and by success and dishonesty as well). All those things are spoken of in the writings that separate and underscore the depictions. There's nothing else in this chamber, no furnishings, no statues, the space is empty and echoing.

Four archway passages lead from this chamber into darkness, two each in the north and the south walls, with each passage being 10 feet broad.

Kherim detects evil in the whole room and tries to scan each of the tunnel entries. He doesn't enter any.

Ahi looks at the several pictures and tries to understand if any picture seems somehow off, or if there seems to be anything suggesting a seam, door frame or outline. Without touching, of course.

Sol will cautiously enter the chamber, moving to the center where the first
two passages lead out and look first donw the right one and then turn around
and look down the left one, to see if he can see anything.

Eilkhan will explore the new chamber carefully, looking everywhere for a trap or surprise.

Gaderon will stick close to Eilkhan as he explores ready to act if someone sets off a trap. He however will be levitating slightly, and will be marking a place in his spell book for his best counter measure spells. He smiles grimly to see the others so motivated and with a sigh focuses on the task at hand to be ready when he is needed.

After a thorough search, Eilkhan declares the chamber safe and all of you enter. Kherim detects evil here, but not more than in any other room within this accursed tomb - it's the sort of evil that he associates with the place as a whole. All four passages are longer as your light sources reach (30'), and show nothing remarkable. Looking at the wall paintings, Ahi detects nothing that catches his eye. All depictions are normal for a tomb of an important and wealthy person, and nothing seems to be out of place. He also notices nothing that hints at a concealed or secret door.

Ahi mentally reviews the chambers they have crossed so far. The present room is very large and the corridors are as broad as only the main corridors on the level above.
"These must be important corridors, sort of like main streets."

Kherim suggests.
"We have been travelling mostly towards the west. Eventually, this tomb will reach an end in every direction, so I propose we continue going west as the end on that side must be nearer."

He advances to the entrance of the first (the southernmost) tunnel on the west side, and is ready to proceed in that direction, but waits for the others opinion. Ahi doesn't move and waits for the others.

Eilkhan doesn't say anything but advances and moves in front of Kherim. "Ok, I'll go ahead."

Sol will move up next to Kherim, following Eilkhan.

If those who haven't spoken don't object, Kherim and Ahi will be ready to follow as soon as Eilkhan checks the area for traps.
