Those of you who have not already done so, now cross the pit with the help of Gaderon's boots. Once on the other side, you proceed along the corridor into a larger area that can be seen ahead. You see a 30-foot-square chamber with a ceiling 20 feet high. There are no other exits apparent. Around the far walls north, east, and west are nine man-sized figures, each standing on a three-foot-high plinth. Before each statue is a stone block, perhaps an altar, with objects thereon. The ceiling is plain, but the walls are painted with scenes and covered with ancient hieroglyphs. The floor is hard sandstone, and the idols appear to be of the same material. The statues, from the left of the entrance and then counted clockwise, are:

Ra (a hawk-headed god)
Rait (female deity, consort of Ra)
Hathor (beautiful goddess)
Herakhty (hawk-headed young god)
Menthu (man crowned by two plumes)
Sekhmet (lioness-headed goddess)
Shu (human figure, bearded god)
Chepri (scarab beetle-headed god)
Mehurit (cow-headed goddess)

On each altar before the figures can be seen a lamp, a flask and three little figurines of the idol.

The writings on the wall praise Those Great Ones Who Are Here Assembled For Honor.

"Hmm, some gods of good, and some not," Ahi ponders the idols from afar, "let's investigate but not trust anything in this foresaken tomb."

OOC: What no Neith!! :D Is my Talisman still working?

Sol will stop at the threshold of the chamber. Laying down the spear, he pulls out his bow and prepares an arrow, as he carefully watches the statues, fully expecting them to come alive at any moment...

Directly in front of the room Eilkhan begins her inspection and slowly moves forwards.

Kherim steps to the threshold of the chamber beside Sol and regards the statures, his inner sense feeling for the taint of evil upon the arrayed idols.

So, why did I get email notifications for other threads, but not for this one?! Was even slightly worried if the game was going on regularly...

Ivid and Elmo, in the back; the Bowman with his best arrow on the bow.

The power of Ahi's amulet is still active (although it should be fading soon, he thinks), as well as his trap-locating spell. Both he and Kherim scan the chamber and immediately notice that their spells and abilities are obviously unable to penetrate the threshold. It is as if the place is well shielded against all readings: A protection of this island of Good amidst the sea of Evil, perhaps?

Eilkhan safely traverses the chamber in the meantime without locating any traps on the floor so far.

Stepping into the chamber, Kherim looks to each of the statues, still tryng to sense any evil they may hold now that he stands within. "There is ritual magic at work here, I feel. Even Rahotep must acknowledge the power of the gods, thus it was for that purpose, I warrant, this chamber was constructed."

Sol remains at the threshold with his bow ready, while he lets the others investigate this chamber.

"Let's not trust these idols yet," advises Ahi. Once Eilkhan has finished her work, he will go over to inspect the objects on the altar like blocks in front of the statues. Ensuring to keep the block between he and the statue.
