Thought I would do a more full character description.  The above image gives an idea of his looks, substitute tattoos of the the Eye of Horus on each cheek and intricately engraven plate mail with an Eastern theme.

Kherim Shah is a holy warrior of Horus the Avenger and he sees himself as the sword of his diety. Kherim is unbending in his faith and convictions, there are two ways to do things, the way that brings honor and the way that brings shame.  Nobility is always expected to choose the former and to take the latter course reduces them in status.  Commoners however have more leeway for they do not carry the same favor of the Gods, still, like children they must mind their actions.  Thus he tolerates the thief in the party as one who knows no better and has certain skills that at times can be of use.  Kherim Shah always chases honor and to that end will be first into the fray and last in the retreat.  Enemies are granted but not offered mercy, pure evil is beyond redemption and may recieve only the sword.

Kherim, is the youngest son of 9 brothers of a minor noble family and thus often goes out of his way to prove himself worthy amongst his peers.  This means others tend to think he has a chip on his shoulder, yet all who have traveled with him know he would gladly give his own life to protect his comrades.  Somewhat aloof, he is never-the-less dependable.  On both sides of his jaw is tattooed the Eye of Horus.  He will carry the Book of Eternity only so long as he knows he carries it to it's ultimate destruction.

Armoured in gleaming plate mail that bears intricate inscriptions on each piece of the armour, he wears a spiked helmet with a neck guard of chain.  A cloak of red is clasped at his should by a gold brooch beaten to resemble a falcon's head.  At his left side is sheaved a great scimitar with a ruby pommel, upon that blade one sees similiar inscriptions as to those found upon his armour.  On his right is sheaved a long curved dagger.  A large round shield with the Eye of Horus boldly displayed upon it is strapped to one arm.  From his shoulder hangs a worn leather satchel in which he carries his more mundane gear.

Out of curiosity, which characters appear to be natives of the area and which look more like westerners?  Kherim is definately of Eastern theme and from the area.

(edited as I see from the descriptions now who appears to be foreigners.)

FYI, this was the first graphic inspiration for Ivid (obviously, he was a young man, back in the days of ToEE and AD&D level 1. :P )

Asterion looks very...well, Elvish; elven mail, cloak and boots; no helmet, though. He has a staff in one hand and a mace in the other, though the mace produced the ladder we used earlier; he also has a long sword on his back. No bow and arrows, strangely...

Gaderon is very much the traditional wizard type; just above medium height, lean, with collar-length hair and a short, trimmed beard. Wizard's staff and a quiver at his belt, holding wands and other magical paraphernalia. His cloak is constantly swirling around him and acts a little like the capes you see superheroes have in comic books; you are never sure how it manages to get in those kinds of shapes or configurations...

Sol is a handsome, middle-aged man of average height with long unkempt blond hair, blue eyes, and an aquiline nose. His skin has been darkened by years in the hot sun, while his body is hardened by years of training and scared from the wounds of a hundred battles. He wears unusually shiny plate armor, which some might recognize to be made of mithral, a large metal shield, and a grey cloak with a longsword and dagger on his hips. His armor, cloak, and tabard are all devoid of any heraldic devices or other identifying markings. His shield has a hawk spreading its wings over a solar disc painted on it. He carries his belongings in a haversack with his bedroll slung over the other shoulder. He has the brand of a slave on his left bicep (only visible when he is not wearing armor), but he wears a medallion on a chain around his neck that is stamped with the Pharaoh’s seal showing his name and the date he was set free.

His sword has the name Tizona engraved on one side of the blade and the words Flame Tongue on the other. When it is drawn it will make the hand that holds it warm when it detects something magical, getting warmer as the object gets closer. It can also heal its bearer’s wounds.

Sol was originally a warrior from the far north. He was captured by slavers in a place called the Dragon Hills while he was a caravan guard attempting to rescue one of the slaver’s captives that had been taken earlier from the caravan he was guarding. However, there does not seen to be any place by that name in the known parts of this world. The slavers brought him to the southern lands where he was sold as a gladiator. He earned his freedom by winning a major tournament and afterward became a soldier of fortune, selling his sword to the highest bidder. He was most recently the captain of a mercenary band, but they were on the losing side in a major battle and were forced to disband (with a “Run! Every man for himself!”). After the battle, he fled to the lands of Khemit to avoid certain death at the hands of the victors.

In a reflective moment he may mention his wife, Katrina, who was very pregnant when he last saw her, and his infant son, Andor, both of whom he has not seen for more than 17 years. Still, he seems like a friendly and gregarious fellow most of the time. He enjoys singing and dancing when the opportunity arises. He has also become overly fond of ale and wine.

Shemsi’s agents found him in a small tavern where he was trying to lay low for a while and forget his current dilemma. They were able to convince him that he could be of great service to the Pharaoh and to humanity by joining the quest to the Tomb of Rahotep. At that point he was taken to the Archpriest of the Kingdom, Shemsi Neteru-f, who, after an extensive interview, teleported him to the party’s current location.
