HUMANS
Thonian, Common

Thonians make up the majority human populations in Blackmoor, the Thonian Empire, the Duchy of Ten and the Duchy of the Peaks.
Available Standard Classes: Fighter, Cleric, Thief, Magic-User
Available Non-Standard Classes: Druid (RC), Mystic (RC), Forrester (DotE), Rake (DotE)

Thonian, High
High Thonians live in the same lands as Common Thonians, but High Thonians usually belong to the Nobility and wealthiest Merchant Families.

The nomadic horsemen of the Plains of Hak are known as Peshwa.

The Skandaharians are raiders from the Jarldoms of Skandahar in the North.

Valemen are barbarian people from the far west.

Frisian
Frisians are related to Skandaharians, but are more peaceful and civlized than their northern cousins. Frisians live in coastal towns in the lands just north of Blackmoor.

DEMIHUMANS
Dwarf
Blackmoorian Dwarves are natives to the Crystal Peaks, Black Hills, Iron Hills, Stormkiller Mountains and Dragon Hills.
BECMI Conversion: Treat as standard dwarf class.
Additional available Classes: Dwarven Cleric (Gaz)

Elf, High (Cumasti)
The High Elves of Blackmoor are the people of Menander Ithamis. They live in the Redwood forest and are on friendly terms with Blackmoor.
BECMI Conversion: Treat as standard elf class.
Additional available Classes: Elf Warrior (HW), Elf Lord (Gaz5), Elven Wizard (Gaz5), Elven Cleric (VotPA)


Elf, Wood (Westryn)
The Wood Elves have broken away from the Elves of the Redwood. They live in the various forest realms in central and western parts of Blackmoor and in the Duchy of Ten and Duchy of the Peaks. They tend to be distrustful of humans and other demi-humans.
BECMI Conversion: Treat as standard elf class.
Additional available Classes: Elf Warrior (HW), Elf Lord (Gaz5), Elven Wizard (Gaz5), Elven Cleric (VotPA)


Elf, Half-Elf
In Blackmoor, the High Elves are able to have offspring with humans, unlike their Wood elf Cousins.
BECMI Conversion: Half Elves use rules for normal humans or Elf, though their appearance usually reveals their mixed ancestry.

Halfling, Boohfolk
Two races of Halflings exist in Blackmoor, the more traditonal Boohfolk and the Docrae. The Boohfolk live near the Forest of Booh and in Blackmoor's other communities. They enjoy a peaceful pastoral lifestyle, although some do take up an adventuring career.
BECMI Conversion: Treat as standard Halfling class.

Halfling, Westlander (Docrae)
The Westlander Halflings or Docrae is the second Halfling race in Blackmoor. They are more recent arrivals, seeking refuge from the Afridhi hordes with their cousins in Booh. Being accustomed to a life of war and conflict, these Halflings have a more martial lifestyle.

Gnome, Blackmoor
Gnomes of Blackmoor do not have their own realm. The majority live with their dwarven cousins. While the dwarves have developed steam tech devices, Gnome talents lay in finer machineries and clockwork crafts.

MONSTROUS RACES
The Monstrous Races heading will cover all kinds of playable races that do not fit into either the human or demihuman categories.

Orc, Blackmoorian
Descended from Beastmen, Orcs have risen to a prominent position in the North. Here, Orcs have risen to a promient position. Four major Orc Tribes can be found in the North: The Crimson Orcs (in the Northwest), the Steel Orcs (In the North East), the Black Hand Orcs (In the South West) and the Stormkiller Orcs (in the South East). All are united by a single Orc King.
BECMI Conversions: Use Orc Class from Gaz10


Orc, Half-Orc
The term Half-Orc is used about humans with mixed ancestry of humans and any of the beastman (Goblinoid) races.
BECMI Conversions: Treat as normal humans, though their appearance usually reveals their mixed ancestry
